The Research Team ECOFH at IRCOF of Rouen

The ECOFH (Equipe de Chimie Organique Fine et Hétérocyclique) is a research laboratory in fine organic synthesis. The research team is housed on the third floor of the IRCOF Building (built in 1997) located in Mont-Saint-Aignan (city of Rouen in Normandy, France). The ECOFH belongs to the famous research center in France CNRS (officially, the laboratory is linked to the UMR CNRS 6014). Pr Francis Marsais is currently the head of department at ECOFH and he is leading a research team consisting in six research groups. Each research group is led by a professor in association with lecturer/s/ to work either in heterocyclic organometallic chemistry or biomimetism. All members of the research team at ECOFH are exposed to a wide range of chemistry and recent techniques. The research team ECOFH has well equipped organic synthesis laboratories and a variety of state-of-the-art analytical instruments shared at the UMR CNRS 6014 which includes a 300 MHz NMR, a GC-MS spectrometer, Real time FTIR (React IR), PDA detector for HPLC (see facilities).... In addition, the library facilities are excellent, with an electronic access to journals and databases. The ECOFH is internationally well-known both for academics and industries (partnership with Sanofi-Synthélabo, Oril, Roquette, Isochem, Gous, Polyintell, Servier...).

Keywords: asymmetric synthesis, biomimetism, heterocyclic chemistry, ligands, metalation, methodoly, multistage syntheses, nanochemistry, organometallics
