Facilities available at the ECOFH and IRCOF of Rouen

The ECOFH, housed on the third floor of the IRCOF building is a modern, well-equipped and maintained facility consisting of offices and research laboratories.

The resources available to Organic Chemists and shared at the UMR CNRS 6014 are fitting for a laboratory of international stature. Particular emphasis is placed on NMR Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry and chemical analysis, where the diverse facilities available to researchers are world class. In addition, with all these essential services being coveniently housed in the laboratories, the library facilities are excellent, with increasing emphasis on electronic access to journals and databases.

Organic Chemistry is equipped with a wide range of up-to-date instrumentation available at any time for the research students (open access), including 300MHz, 200MHz NMR spectrometers, Fourier Transform IR, molecular modelling, mass spectrometers (GC-MS), Real time FTIR technique (React-IR), solid-phase synthesis (Quest parallel synthesizer), HPLC (with a PDA detector) and other separation techniques (prochrom, chiral HPLC...). Other facilities are also available in the building for more specific experiments (600MHz NMR spectrometers, X-Ray...).

Of course, every PhD students have their own fume hood. Finally, desk rooms with computers are available for each laboratory in a separate room from the laboratory.
